Project Overview
Augsburg Village is a continuing care community with independent living, assisted living and skill nursing care. They have been faithfully serving families in Baltimore, MD for over 100 years. As their facilities grew, so did their needs, and so did their bills.
In 2016, they connected with American Energy Services to find a way to retrofit their interior and exterior with LEDs. Individual living units were also retrofitted to further reduce their lighting energy costs. Through a progressive utility program, the retrofit was implemented with no capital and zero out of pocket expenses were required.
The project was audited, designed, and installed by AES, a premier provider of LED lighting and energy audit services, retrofits, upgrades and LED electrical lighting maintenance.

Solution: Retrofit interior and exterior lighting to 18W LED tubes and external drivers
Results: A 46% reduction in energy costs which allowed Augsburg Village reduce energy costs by $50,952 annually.
